History
Amane’s journey with Kagaya began when she was selected by a priest to become his wife and caretaker at the age of 17. Kagaya, then 13, agreed to the union only if she did so of her own free will. Together, they raised quintuplets and committed their lives to the Demon Slayer Corps.
Amane was instrumental in recruiting members for the Corps, such as Muichiro and Yuichiro Tokito. Despite facing rejection and hostility from the twins, she remained patient and compassionate, later rescuing a gravely injured Muichiro after a demon attack.
Key Story Arcs
Amane once traveled to the mountains to recruit the descendants of the first Breathing Style, the young twins Yuichiro and Muichiro Tokito. She explained their lineage and asked them to join the Demon Slayer Corps; despite Muichiro’s excitement, Yuichiro bitterly rejected her and forced her to leave. She tried several times to recruit them, but was finally expelled when Yuichiro splashed her with water. Sometime later, after the twins were attacked by a demon and were left home alone for several days, Amane and her daughters Hinaki and Nichika found them. Unfortunately, Yuichiro had already died. Amane held the near-dead Muichiro and prayed for him to survive while her daughters tended to his wounds. When he recovered, Muichiro began training intensely and relentlessly. Nichika tried to stop him out of concern, but Amane stopped her, ensuring that despite Muichiro’s severely injured state, he was doing something he needed to do.
Infinity Train Arc
Amane accompanies Kagaya as they visit the graves of fallen Demon Slayers. They honor Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, with Kagaya expressing pride in his sacrifice.
Swordsmith Village Arc
